Allianz Australia today strengthened its strategic partnership with WorkSafe Victoria, with its workers' compensation team officially moving into the new best in class WorkSafe building in Malop Street, Geelong.
Helen Silver, Chief General Manager Workers' Compensation at Allianz, today formally celebrated the move with a morning tea attended by representatives from Allianz Australia and WorkSafe.
“The move to co-locate with WorkSafe Victoria confirms Allianz’s commitment to the people of the Geelong region, to our industry partners and to WorkSafe Victoria”, Ms Silver said.
“Allianz has a long history of collaboration with WorkSafe Victoria. It is a key component of our national workers' compensation service and we are pleased to continue to grow that partnership and to provide support to Geelong employers and workers.”
Ms Silver said Allianz has a strong heritage in Geelong with its workers' compensation division having a presence locally for over 25 years.
“One of only three agents in the region, Allianz Australia has long standing relationships with some of the largest employees in Geelong, including Barwon Health for the past 11 years, and St John of God Hospital and Godfrey Hirst, both relationships we have had for 20 years”, Ms Silver said.
“Our Geelong team of over 20 people is committed to supporting the local workforce in achieving the best outcomes for injured workers.”
The move to the WorkSafe building reinforces Allianz’s commitment to be part of the social innovation hub growing in Geelong – including WorkSafe, NDIS and the Transport Accident Commission (TAS).
“At Allianz, we have an unrelenting focus on improving our performance. Through being part of the social innovation hub and collaborating with others in the industry, we aim to improve services and provide the best outcomes for workers”, Ms Silver said.
“Geelong is one of the fastest growing regional cities – with a burgeoning workforce and growing residential base. We are proud to be part of this great region and look forward to continuing to partner with WorkSafe Victoria to contribute further to the growth here in Geelong.”
