Cheering on Australian kids to encourage them to keep playing sport

Championing the sporting heroes of the future

Allianz has a long history of supporting sport in Australia and across the world. We’re passionate about celebrating its unifying power in communities. 

We want the next generation of athletes to feel the support of the nation. So, we gave young Australians the chance to feel like elite athletes for the day at Allianz Stadium.

Many young Australians are dropping out of sport

To inform this initiative, we did research into young Australian’s involvement in sport. It showed that 34% of those surveyed have asked their parents if they can stop playing sport. Specifically, 27% of young Australians have made the decision to stop playing by age 15.
 

Our Olympic and Paralympic Movements partnership

We have a long history of supporting sport in Australia and across the world. Globally, we’ve been a proud partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) since 2006, and in 2021, we joined the Worldwide Olympic Partner programme. In Australia, we’ve been a proud partner of Paralympics Australia since 2011, and the Australian Olympic Committee since 2019.
